Macro observations

Vision vacates. The pattern of diamonds on the starched seats merge into cross-hairs the longer you stare;

Newspaper pages turn crisply. Adverts ask questions;

A clattering of different languages rumble and blend like the bubbles in a boiling vat of water;

The page in my notebook lurches and the pen streaks, illiterate;

The blurs coincide with the hissing  collision of train to track;

People enter as if being poured from a bucket;

The scent of diesel is displaced by the fresh invigoration of a hastily smoked cigarette;

Perfume steams from those dressed with a place to go,

a mere prickle from those on the way home.
